December 9, 2009 - Lesnar is feeling much better!!!

Brock Lesnar is currently at home in Minnesota recovering from diverticulitis, an intestinal disorder that sidelined the monstrous heavyweight champion and called his fighting career into question.

December 3, 2009 - Dana White:"Lesnar is still VERY sick!"

UFC president Dana White provided on update on UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar on his Twitter account today. White stated that Lesnar is still very sick, and his future remains unclear.

"Tons of people keep asking me about brock," White tweeted.
"He is still VERY sick. We are unsure about his future."

November 19, 2009 - Lesnar Released From Hospital

Dana White appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter to update the world on the condition of his heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar. “I don’t know, we don’t know if he ever will fight again or not,” a very unsure White told ESPN’s John Buccigross.

The infection that Lesnar got while in Canada is still being kept under wraps but we do know that Lesnar underwent “minor surgery” to hopefully correct the problem but we won’t know Lesnar’s full condition until he gets a complete checkup.

November 18, 2009 - Lesnar has Diverticulitis (unconfirmed)

WCCO in Minneapolis is reporting UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar has a severe case of diverticulitis, a disease found in the large intestines which involves formation of pouches on the outside of the colon that become inflamed.

UFC president Dana White reportedly spoke with Lesnar today, who is believed to be in a hospital in Bismark, ND, shortly. White is trying to get Lesnar to check into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for further treatment.

Diverticulitis is a condition in which abnormal pouches (diverticula) that form in the colon become inflamed. While the causes of the condition are unproven, most doctors believe it is linked to a low-fiber diet.

November 17, 2009 - Lesnar has bacterial infection

UFC President Dana White said Monday that heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is recovering from a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract.

"He's in stable condition and should be released soon," UFC President Dana White said.

Asked if Lesnar was in a Bismarck hospital, White said, "I think he is," but did not want to say which hospital because he wanted to protect Lesnar's privacy.

White said he is encouraging Lesnar to check into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for further treatment. He also said he did not know if the 32-year-old South Dakota native will fight again.

"It depends on how serious this is," White said.

Bismarck's St. Alexius hospital said Lesnar was not a patient there. The other hospital in the city, Medcenter One, would not confirm or deny he was there.

November 16, 2009 - Lesnar is not suffering from something as serious as cancer or HIV/AIDS

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is suffering with something related to an intestinal disorder and will probably require "major surgery," UFC president Dana White said in a report Monday on TMZ.

"There's a possibility Lesnar will never fight again," White told TMZ.

White plans to have Lesnar transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. for further diagnosis and treatment.

During the UFC 105 post-fight press conference, White declined to specify Lesnar's illness to respect the star's privacy, but did state that Lesnar neither has cancer nor AIDS.

"I can't really talk about it right now, but he is in rough shape. He's in really bad shape," White said Saturday. "I'm actually probably going to fly to go see him, and we're going to probably have to do some stuff to take care of this guy. He is not well, and he's not getting any better."

November 11, 2009 - Brock suffering from mononucleosis

It has been confirmed that Brock Lesnar is suffering from mononucleosis.  He informed Dana White earlier today of the diagnosis that he received this week.  He was ordered not to do any training for at least one month and the Jan. 2 date is out of the question.

White told Kevin Iole earlier today, "We're still trying to figure it out and I'm really not sure where any of it stands right now."

October 27, 2009 - Brock doesn't have H1N1

"[Lesner] said he's never been this sick in his life," White said, according to Yahoo. "He said it's been going on for a long time and he just hasn't been able to shake it."

White told Yahoo! he doesn't think Lesner has H1N1.
